AP Manager
Position Overview:
Govplace is seeking innovative, proactive, and hands on Accounts Payable professional who is looking for the opportunity take an active role in the success of our company by providing leadership to the Accounts Payable Department. This growth opportunity affords the top-tier candidate the chance to play a major role in driving profit and maximizing efficiencies within a high energy, fast paced organization. This position will oversee the entire Accounts Payable function and manage vendor relationships. This position is based in Irvine, CA.
The AP Manager will:
- Provide leadership to the Accounts Payable Department and manage all AP functions.
- Oversee invoice processing, verification and expense coding
- Prepare weekly AP payment forecasts and check runs
- Prepare AP Aging Report and Vendor Statement Reconciliations
- Code/enter PO and AP vouchers and review voucher edit reports for accurac
- Perform month end AP close and reconciliation of accounts payable accounts on a monthly basis
- Take ownership of Vendor Relationships.
- Manage Vendor payments of Government Contracts, travel expenses, and credit card charges.
- Process credits for customer RMA’s.
- Setup and maintain vendor database, including 1099’s.
- Drive process improvement and maximization of efficiencies.
- Provide ideas and suggestions to improve processes for increased department efficiency
- Play key role in ongoing ERP implementation
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of the entire Accounts Payable process, ideally with a background in fulfillment of government contracts, coupled with a strong general accounting knowledge. The best candidates will draw on their strong computer skills, expert excel knowledge base to drive process improvement and maximization of efficiencies.
